4th of July Weekend

It was a nice weekend. We didn't make it to Arizona. I wasn't feeling well enough to make the drive. It's a long turn around for just a few hours in the heat. We made it a fun weekend for the boys and as much as I could do for the boys. They didn't mind. Between bbqs, swimming, fireworks, and a few hours at Knotts Berry Farm, I think they had a pretty good weekend.

Landon shared some alone time with Daddy in the pool before everyone arrived. Then his best friend Max showed up and it was Max and Landon all day long.
Silly boys! 3 and 5 year olds... Buddies.

Big brothers lit the fireworks for the little brothers and they clapped for each one. It was so cute.
They even got excited to watch the worms grow on the grown. When they are so little things are so exciting. Landon kept looking up in the sky at the big ones going off.

It was a simple 4th of July. We had awesome ribs that I completely forgot to take pictures of. The food was amazing. I relaxed in a rocker most of the day. Enjoyed the company. Just a simple relaxing day watching the kids swim.

Sunday we took the boys to Knotts Berry Farm. I didn't want to just lay in bed in pain. I feel bad for the boys. So we took it easy and once I was tired we went home. The Drs told me it's good to try a little just take it easy.

First stop Ghost town. I creeped out the boys with the saloon ladies. I told the boys they've been around since I've been a little girl and they had to take pictures with them. It's part of history. Daniel said Mom she's creepy hahahaha.

Landon kept saying Mommy get up I don't want you take a picture with her, she's scary. My boys are so creeped out easily.

More funny faces with Landon... He can't just smile for a picture. You ask him to smile and he makes a face everytime. I guess it's his new thing now.

Waiting in line family selfie... Goofy Landon again.
Napping Landon...
Funny faces...

His favorite the Ferris wheel! I tried to upload a video, but I'm having trouble uploading it from my iPhone. It's a very cute video of Landon on the ride. Sorry.

Daniel's blood sugar has been great during activities. Loma Linda suggests we lower it by 10% during 4hrs while we are doing activities like an amusement parks. Let's see how this new week goes. This was the last ride of the day for us. We ate dinner and headed home. God blessed me with very understanding boys.

Family time can always be about time together. It doesn't have to be about what we do and how much we squeeze in that time. It's about the quality of that time. We love each other and that's what matters. I'll get back to posting more. I've truly been too exhausted. My time has been busy with my boys as its summer time. Dr appts, keeping them busy, football practices, busy toddler, rest, and our daily routine leaves less time for writing. It's good therapy for me to share my experiences. I just have a hard time getting started.

Hope everyone is well. Wishing good blood sugars to all our type 1 children always.
