Our morning started with a special pink donut and a pink candle that Landon picked for himself to celebrate the start of his first day being 3 years old. We woke him up and he kept saying it's my birthday, it's my birthday, it's my birthday.
Mommy had her coffee, brother ate his breakfast and enjoyed a donut, daddy had his coffee and donut while we all sang happy birthday to a crazy haired little toddler. He giggled and smiled the entire time. And when we told him to blow out his candle and make his wish, he did just that...
His daddy left for work and his brother left for school. He ate his donut and then the phone rang. It was Sissy from Arizona and he tells her you sing to me the Happy Birthday song. Too funny because she was at work. She said I can't sing the song right now and he was persistent. She said I'll have Kiki call you and sing it to you and he said no you sing it to me. Funny how a 3 year old can be very precise about what they want.
A few minutes later second older sister calls and she sings it to him and he's happy once again. Mommy heard the song all day long as he sang it to himself over and over again. Today was his day. We made play doh monsters. We ate Popsicles. We made grilled cheese sandwiches and ate cucumbers. We even made jello and turned them into worms using straws. It was a messy, but fun day for a toddler. A day for him and mommy to just bond and enjoy his day.
Tomorrow is your big birthday party and you won't have moments with Mommy. I am glad I had today to spend with you. Your an incredible little boy and I love you more and more each day. My miracle baby you are and a forever piece of my life. I hope you had a fun day with Mommy today. Tomorrow won't even compare to today. But, in my heart even the smallest moments are just as awesome with you. Happy Birthday my Landon Ryan!
